About Patty
To create is to make something from nothing. A creator infuses his or her life into a bit of “nothing” and something beautiful is born. This is what I do in my studio. I take bits of “nothing” and turn them into little treasures. Every tiny detail of each of my creations is carefully crafted by my hands with beauty and function in mind.
God has wired me for creativity, and I feel His pleasure and life when I am making things. I love getting lost in my creative process, and it brings me great joy to create timeless treasures that enrich the lives of others.

My Inspiration
I deeply identify with the busy and productive life of bees. I have spent many years learning about these fascinating creatures. In our country, bees are classified as livestock. Without the constant activity of bees, almost all life on this planet would cease to exist. Their society is complex and layered. It has language, dance, politics, and hierarchy just to name a few. Each member of the hive is born with specific work to do, and they do it faithfully without complaint. They are unaware of how important they are to the outside world. The weight of their momentous work doesn’t seem to affect them. They work heartily—active and free.
Most of us can only appreciate them for the honey they create. But when we take a deeper look into the activity of bees, we find that making honey is not the supreme objective of their lives. Rather, bees fill their days simply doing the various tasks they were designed to do—their unique purpose for the hive. They are not striving to make honey but simply living fully in how they were designed to live. And we get to share the fruit of their labor. I think of my work that way. My jewelry is like the honey. It is the by-product of me living fully and embracing how God has made me. It is the honey I get to share with you.
